Blimpie Sandwich
Blimpie Sandwich
Blimpie is a popular chain of sandwich shops that offer a variety of delicious subs and sandwiches. While I don't have access to their exact recipe, I can provide a general recipe for a classic Blimpie sandwich that you can make at home.
Ingredients:
- Sub roll or hoagie roll
- Sliced deli meat (turkey, ham, roast beef, etc.)
- Sliced cheese (Swiss, cheddar, provolone, etc.)
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Pickles
- Oil and vinegar
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cut the sub roll or hoagie roll in half, but not all the way through. You want to create a pocket for the fillings.
- Layer the sliced deli meat and sliced cheese on one half of the roll.
- Add the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles on top of the meat and cheese.
- Drizzle with oil and vinegar and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Close the sandwich and wrap it tightly in aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped sandwich in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is warm and toasty.
- Remove from the oven, unwrap the sandwich, and enjoy!
Note: You can customize this sandwich to your liking by using different meats, cheeses, and toppings. You can also add mayo, mustard, or other condiments if desired.
