 Fried Chicken     Here is a basic recipe for fried chicken: Ingredients: 2 lbs chicken pieces (legs, thighs, wings, breasts) 2 cups buttermilk 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder Vegetable oil, for frying Instructions: Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let it soak in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Heat the vegetable oil in a large, deep frying pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and allow any excess liquid to drip off. Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, making sure they are evenly coated. Gently place the chicken in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
